The vintage cars of celebrities

Cars and celebrities, an irresistible combination that takes shape in the exhibition dedicated to vintage cars that belonged to great personalities of the past. Unique and valuable items enhanced by the history of those who owned or drove them, such as the Triumph TR3 driven by Marcello Mastroianni in Federico Fellini’s film La Dolce Vita.

We would thank the collectors of the cars in exhibitions: Mario Righini Collection, Doctor Attilio Cesarano, Senator Filippo Berselli.

The Formula Junior Italian Job

Modena Motor Gallery Show dedicated to the Formula Juniors, promoted by ACI Storico and curated by the Scuderia Tazio Nuvolari Italia, the Historic Minardi Day, the Registro Storico Lucchini and the Museo Tazio Nuvolari.

A display of numerous items that aims to highlight a great cultural heritage represented by many Italian makers who then tried their hand at this training formula such as: Wainer – FIAT Formula Junior 015; Stanguellini Junior, a single-seater built by Stanguellini also thanks to the collaboration with Juan Manuel Fangio from 1958 to 1960 in more than one hundred examples; the Dagrada – 1959-60 Edition; the De Tomaso – 1962–63 Edition, and the Poggi Edition 1959.

The FORMULA JUNIOR, devised in 1958 by Count Giovanni Lurani as a training category, continues to this day to represent an economical solution for competitive racing activity.

Alfa Romeo duetto: SpiderAmando

It is the “beautiful young lady” who bewitched Hollywood, the predestined for success presented on board a cruise ship, the model with the longest life ever in Alfa Romeo with 124,000 units produced in 28 years. The 1600 Spider is the legend of the cars capable since its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966 to establish itself as a real status symbol: loved by famous people and desired by everyone, the “Duetto” does not escape the world of cinema by carving out “roles ”In hundreds of works on the small and large screen. Memorable is the scene that sees Dustin Hoffman running at full throttle aboard his Duet to the notes of Simon & Garfunkel in the unforgettable “The Graduate” (1967).

At Modena Motor Gallery, thanks to the passion of the Modena Motori Club, all the versions, produced between 1966 and 1996, of the iconic Duetto, all rigorously red, will be exhibited.

SECTOR A – YEAR 2020

National Day of the Vintage Vehicle of ASI Giovani

The National Day of the Vintage Vehicle on Sunday 27 September 2020 is celebrated throughout Italy with events and demonstrations. Modena Motor Gallery is part of the celebrations thanks to the official participation of the Italian Historical Automotoclub.

In particular, the national Federation of reference dedicates its presence in the fair to young people: the ASI Youth Commission puts the spotlight on the most recent vehicles of collectible interest and animates the external areas of the exhibition center with dynamic activities. “ASI Giovani on tour” is also a gathering that brings the crews to discover the Emilian motoring museums.

On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September young enthusiasts meet in the heart of the Motor Valley.
Sunday 27th takes place entirely in Modena Motor Gallery, where ASI is expected to participate with its own exhibition stand in Hall A.

A rare Harley Davidson

Only two specimens in the world, one of which in Japan; the other, on the other hand, can be admired at the Motor Gallery after a restoration that lasted over five years.

More than a collector’s item, the Harley Davidson that Luca Govoni will exhibit at Modena Motor Gallery is a diamond to be kept in a safe, a delight for the palate of enthusiasts (and not only) who will find themselves in front of a uniqueness of the wonderful world of chopper motorcycles.

DUKW: the amphibious vehicle

The DUKW amphibian, nicknamed Duck (duck), is the most significant way to remember the Normandy landings. Born in 1942, it was the amphibious version of the GMC CCKW-353 2½ 6 × 6 truck, specifically designed to transfer loads directly from ships to beaches.
It is an excellent vehicle with a speed of 80km / h on the road and 11.4km / h on the water. It is fitted with a 4400 cc 6-cylinder in-line petrol engine, which provided 91.5 hp at 2750 rpm. The transmission was five-speed plus reverse. It is 9.5m long, 2.5m wide and weighs 6500kg.

A gallery in the Gallery …

At Modena Motor Gallery, in memory of Francesco Stanguellini, who passed away, a Balilla Coppa D’Oro by the private collector Umberto Camellini will be exhibited.
The Balilla Coppa d’Oro of the year 1934 with an engine prepared by Vittorio Stanguellini, is a car that ran the 24 hours at Spa in 1936. Mario Camellini (Umberto’s father) was also part of the Stanguellini racing team. With this car at Modena Motor Gallery the Camellini family wants to express a gesture of friendship and closeness to the Stanguellini family for the death of Francesco.
The public will also be able to admire a beautiful metallic gray Bugatti EB 110 Super Sport worth over 2 million euros.
The central gallery will then welcome a nice twinning between 2 and 4 wheels: the Ferrari Museums of Modena and Maranello in front of the exhibition of the motorcycles of the Modenese centaurs (organized by Moto Club2000).
In addition, more than 100 1:43 scale models positioned as on a starting grid that tell the motoring life of Enzo Ferrari, the evolution of sports cars over time and much more, curated by Elis Sernesi Collection.

At Modena Motor Gallery, in memory of Francesco Stanguellini, who passed away, a Balilla Coppa D’Oro by the private collector Umberto Camellini will be exhibited.
