Along the entire perimeter of Sector A, the ‘Road of the Artisans’ comes to life: over 30 companies of coachbuilders, upholsterers, mechanics, electricians and restorers, among the finest in the country. Behind the wonder of a historic car, there is always the skill and passion of the craftsman who has been able to restore the splendour of the past. The craftsmen are competent people who, with a great wealth of knowledge, reconstruct every single part of the car in a way that is faithful to the original. So they tirelessly search for the specific piece in dozens of flea markets, prepare the most suitable paint and tie back hundreds of rusty and time-worn cables. The use of material that faithfully reproduces the configuration of a car from 50 years ago is one of the fundamental aspects of the craftsman’s work. In addition to renovating the electrical systems, replacing the upholstery and much more, artisans often try their hand at beating the panels with the techniques of yesteryear, in order to make the car even more like it once was.

La strada degli Artigiani
Lungo tutto il perimetro del Padiglione A prende vita la “Strada degli Artigiani”: oltre 30 aziende di carrozzai, tappezzieri, meccanici, elettricisti e restauratori tra i migliori del Paese. Dietro la meraviglia di un’auto storica, c’è sempre la manualità e la passione dell’artigiano che le ha saputo ridare lo splendore di un tempo.
Gli artigiani sono persone competenti che, con grande dovizia di conoscenze, ricostruiscono ogni singola parte dell’auto in maniera fedele all’originale. Dunque ricercano instancabilmente per decine di mercatini il pezzo specifico, preparano la vernice più adeguata e riannodano centinaia di fili arrugginiti e consumati dal tempo. L’utilizzo di materiale che riproduca fedelmente la configurazione di un’auto di 50 anni fa, è uno degli aspetti fondamentali del lavoro dell’artigiano. Oltre a rinnovare gli impianti elettrici, sostituire la tappezzeria e tanto altro, spesso gli artigiani si cimentano nel battere le lastre con tecniche del passato per rendere l’auto ancora più simile a com’era una volta.
